Our Carpentry Services in Tacoma

All your work handled by qualified professionals in Tacoma

Forty inches of rain and moss that never dries: in Tacoma, rot starts in the lowest boards and the porch sills.

Included in your service

  • Sills, trim and lower siding courses probed board by board
  • Rotted wood cut back until the blade reaches dry, sound fir
  • New lumber back-primed before it goes on a wet-side wall
  • The moss line or gutter overflow behind the rot shown to you
Learn more→

Termite Damage Repair

Carpenter ants and dampwood termites follow the water, so we repair the wood and close off the leak.

  • Hollowed studs, sills and rim joists cut out and replaced
  • Frass and soft spots traced back to the wet source first
  • Leaking flashing or a porch roof that drew the pests corrected

  • Rotted subfloor cut out and rebuilt under the finished floor
  • Vapor barrier or venting issue that caused it flagged for you

  • Temporary shoring set before any bearing wall comes down
  • Posts carried down to proper bearing in the crawl space
  • Ceiling and floor patched so the new opening looks original

  • Wainscoting scribed to walls that settled a century ago
  • Missing fir trim pieces milled to match the originals

Puget Sound rain finds every gap, so an entry door is only as good as its sill pan and flashing.

Included in your service

  • Rotted thresholds and jamb bottoms cut out and rebuilt
  • Sill pan and head flashing installed under the new unit
  • Weatherstripping set so the door seals without forcing it
  • Exterior trim primed and sealed against wind-driven rain

Included in your service

  • Base cabinets shimmed level across uneven floors
  • Filler strips scribed to out-of-square plaster walls
  • Wall cabinets hung to a level line, not to a sloping ceiling
  • Doors, drawers and hardware aligned to matching reveals

  • Squeaks quieted by re-gluing and re-wedging treads
  • Loose newel posts anchored back into the framing
  • Worn treads and cracked balusters replaced to match
  • Handrails set at a steady height that is easy to grip
Learn more→

Deck & Porch Repair

Months of rain and a coat of moss are why South Sound decks fail at the posts and steps first.

Included in your service

  • Every board, post base and ledger checked for soft wood
  • Rotted boards, posts and railings replaced, sound wood kept
  • Stair stringers and treads rebuilt with good footing
  • Honest repair or replace advice before any work starts
Learn more→

Fascia, Soffit & Exterior Trim Repair

Fir needles, full gutters and steady rain rot the roof edge from behind, where nobody looks.

Included in your service

  • Fascia and soffit probed along the full run of the eave
  • Rotted boards replaced with primed, weather-resistant stock
  • Blocked soffit vents reopened so the attic can breathe
  • Gutter rehung so water runs off the house, not into the wood

“Had them build out a whole living room library with custom shelving from floor to ceiling. The attention to detail was unreal, every shelf is perfectly level, the stain matches beautifully, and they even added hidden supports so nothing looks cluttered. Best investment we've made in our home.”

“We wanted crown molding in our dining room and new baseboards throughout the first floor. The crew measured everything twice, got the angles perfect, and the finish work is so clean you'd think it came that way. They even caulked and prepped everything for paint.”

“Our interior staircase had loose treads and a wobbly handrail, safety hazard with two kids in the house. They tightened everything up, replaced a couple damaged boards, and refinished the solid wood railing. Now it's safe and looks brand new.”
